West Ham are set to ask angry thai sbo supporters for a truce until the end of the season as the club battles to avoid Premier League relegation.
Tension boiled over during the second half of the 3-0 defeat to Burnley at the London Stadium on Saturday with four pitch invasions and Hammers co-owners David Sullivan, David Gold and vice-chairman Karren Brady targeted by hundreds of supporters in the ground.
The club is due to have an emergency meeting with stakeholders on the issues that arose on Saturday, with one high on the agenda being the Hammers taking on security and stewarding on matchdays.
Hapless stadium operators LS185 are coming under enormous fire for the lack of response on Saturday with their stewarding when fans entered the field of play. West Ham have always wanted to be in control of the security but as per the agreement they have to use the London Stadium, LS185 are the ones in charge.
Club insiders have told Football.London that there have yet to be any arrests following the ugly scenes at the weekend but that could change once security footage is viewed in-depth by the Met Police.
But it's the truce that is going to be the main result of the meetings, with the Hammers owners desperate for the club and fans to be pulling in the same direction in the Premier League run-in to try and avoid a potentially catastrophic relegation to the Championship.
The likes of Sir Trevor Brooking and captain Mark Noble will likely be the faces of the truce, asking for supporters to put their differences aside for the good of the team. Brooking has already stated that he believes angry fans should stay away from home games.
What will happen in the summer remains to be seen as it is entirely dependant on the club's Premier League status - or potentially lack of it - once the season is finished.
The FA have yet to inform West Ham what their punishment for Saturday's problems will be. The club could be facing a heavy fine, the prospect of reduced capacity for home games or even thai sbo having to play games at the London Stadium behind closed doors.
Ashley Barnes' opening goal at the weekend led to West Ham going 1-0 down and fan running on to the pitch before being wrestles to the ground by skipper Mark Noble. Another supporter manage to take a corner flag and place it in the centre circle in scenes reminiscent of the bonds issue and pitch invasion back in 1992.
James Collins also had to usher a fan away from the field of play during the second half as West Ham went down to their fifth defeat in seven and the players thai sbo and staff have escaped to Florida for a five-day warm weather training camp as the heat and tension rises once again.
